Description
The D4 is Nikon's top of the line professional grade DSLR. It was introduced on January 4th, 2012
and replaced the D3S.
The D4 uses a 16.2 megapixel full-frame FX sensor. It features an incredible maximum ISO of 204,800. It has
an autofocus motor, so all Nikon AF, AF-S, and AF-I lenses can be used in autofocus mode. It does not have
a built in flash but it does have a standard hot shoe mount. It features a high
resolution LCD on the back with a live view mode, along with a top mounted control panel.
It supports video recording at 1080p and 720p with stereo audio recording via a built in mic or external input
along with a headphone jack for audio monitoring. Uncompressed video is available via a HDMI port.
It also features automatic correction of lateral chromatic aberration. It has one CompactFlash card slot and
one XQD card slot - it is the first camera to use the new XQD format.
